Dronov admitted that the idea of performing under a pseudonym arose due to the desire to separate public and private lives. SHAMAN also revealed the origin of his stage name:
“I started reading fan comments under my songs, and there were words around: a magical song, a haunting voice, a voice that puts you in hypnosis, a spatial story. They even said that Lolita Milyavskaya in the show “Factor A” had mentioned shamanism. All this prompted me to take such a pseudonym. The viewer accepted and understood everything. Everything came out of the comments.”
The pseudonym really divided Dronov’s life into stage and ordinary. Leaving the concert, he switches and becomes a person who lives quietly without bright costumes, writes songs, invents images and engages in creativity.
“If we talk about magic, witchcraft, witchcraft, I think it exists, but only for those who believe in it”, summarizes SHAMAN.
