The UK is facing a major National Health Service (NHS) crisis. According to the British edition of The Guardian, patients wait for help from doctors for more than 12 hours.
It should be noted that due to the slow work of British doctors, caused by overwork, patients die without waiting for help. Paramedics also often do not have time to reach patients due to the extremely high number of calls. According to the publication FBM.Ru at least 511 people in the UK have died due to it taking up to 15 hours for ambulances to get to the scene of the call.
Experts believe the crisis in the NHS system is the result of austerity in healthcare. This undermined the capacity of hospitals and also resulted in a shortage of equipment needed to provide care. There are also not enough hospital beds in the institutions. According to statistics, around 7 million Britons are currently waiting for treatment.
