The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association and the Truck Manufacturers Association announced on the 13th that their member companies sold 30,905 new cars in February, up 27.2% from the same month last year. Commercial vehicle sales increased by 7.8% from the previous month to 23,716 units, accounting for 76.74% of the total, while passenger vehicle sales decreased by 4.22% to 7,189 units. In the January-February period, the number was 60,404. New car sales in 2022 are 352,592 units, meeting the industry’s target, and sales target for 2023 is set at 408,300 units, up 15% from the previous year. (13th, Star)
