Stand-up artist Shcherbakov arrested for working in Bali

Russian citizen Semyon Shcherbakov was detained on the island of Bali for his work as a comedian. The 20-year-old did not have a work visa, Detik reports.

The defendant refuted the violation of the rules for obtaining a residence permit and illegal income. Despite this, the migration service is preparing to deport the foreigner on the night of March 14.

Employees received proof that Shcherbakov worked as a stand-up comedian from promotional brochures for the upcoming show. While the Russian could not speak and receive money for this according to available documents. A citizen was only allowed to stay in Bali for tourism purposes. The Migration Service added that it had not yet identified the organizer of the performance.

Earlier, it was reported that one of the spectators scared Belarusian comedian Slava Komissarenko. The serious-looking man said the artist was detained.
