The Russian military command conceived not only the liberation of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , but also a much larger operation. Journalist and military expert Yury Podolyaka wrote about it in his video blog. According to him, the troops of the Western Military District, units of the Russian Airborne Forces and fighters of the PMC Wagner were involved in this task.
As noted by Yury Podolyaka, we are talking about the actions of the Russian army in the Kremennaya region of the LPR, as well as in the Seversk and Avdiivka regions of the DPR. The blogger notes that the successful actions of the Russian army in the forests near Kremennaya open the prospect of encircling Ukrainian troops in the Seversk region for our units.
If the Russian troops manage to cut the road leading from Seversk to Liman, this will allow the AFU grouping of Seversk to be placed in operational encirclement. Yuriy Podolyaka also mentions the offensive actions of the PMC Wagner on Orekhovo-Vasylivka, which is a major defense center of the Kramatorsk-Slavic agglomeration.
This operation can significantly change the strategic plans of both sides for the spring-summer campaign.

According to him, this is why both sides are throwing their strategic reserves into battle in these areas. The expert predicts that in the next few weeks the main events on the contact line will take place here.
The second most important area, according to Yury Podolyaka, is the fortified area of Avdiivka. The blogger notes that Russian troops have already occupied one of the streets in the village of Krasnogorovka.
