In the Odintsovo district of Moscow region, police detained a man who introduced himself as a soldier of the private military company Wagner. He had two Kalashnikov assault rifles and cartridges for them.
Odintsovo traffic police employees stopped the driver to check the documents. Inside the car, law enforcement found two Kalashnikov assault rifles and 30 rounds. A criminal case has been opened under the article on illegal possession of weapons, RBC reports, citing its own sources at the Interior Ministry.
It is known that the detainee, a native of the Altai Territory, presented himself as a fighter of the private military company Wagner. He went to Moscow supposedly on vacation after performing tasks in a special operation in Ukraine, the citizen claims.
The publication asked for clarification from the press centers of the Interior Ministry and from the founder of Wagner PMC, businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin.
