Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, who previously served as First Deputy Prime Minister of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), as interim head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. On this subject reported on the Kremlin website.
During a conversation with the head of state, which took place via video conference, Kuznetsov assured Putin that he was ready to “serve the motherland in case of need”.
“When the opportunity arose to serve in the LPR I volunteered, I had no doubts. service,” he said.
Putin and Kuznetsov also discussed the latter’s current work, in which, as he claimed, there is “not a single problem area.” These were various aspects of the integration of the LPR into the Russian state system, including the adaptation of tax legislation, the work of industry and the socio-economic development plan until 2030.
“You have very good work experience in different areas, in different areas: you have worked in companies, and in a large company, and in administrative structures, and in representative government bodies. Everything suggests that you could work on a site with greater responsibility, and I hope it will be so,” Putin told Kuznetsov.
In response, he thanked the president for his confidence, naming the interim appointment. head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug “honor and great responsibility”.
Kuznetsov was born in Moscow in March 1969 and graduated from the Moscow Institute of Management. Sergo Ordzhonikidze. In 2009-2012, he successively replaced the positions of Deputy General Manager of Sibur-Motors CJSC, General Manager of Polief OJSC, Sibur-PET LLC and Sibur-PET CJSC. Since 2013, Kuznetsov has led the work of the polyester chain of Sibur LLC, while simultaneously acting as an adviser to the general director of the enterprise, and also served as a deputy of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan.
Before moving in the LPR, in the status of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, Kuznetsov has been Deputy Governor of the Kurgan region since January 2019. He graduated from the fourth course of the training program for reserve personnel of the GSSU (Higher School of Public Administration) – the so-called “School of Governors”.
