Allies of Slovakia will provide compensation to the state in the event of the transfer of MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, which were previously in service with Ukraine. The payment amount will be $900 million.

Slovak authorities have said that if the MiG-29 fighters are handed over to Ukraine, they expect to receive compensation in the amount of $900 million in cash and military equipment. This statement was made by the Minister of Defense of the Republic Yaroslav Nagy.

The final decision on the transfer of the planes will be taken at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Slovakia. According to preliminary information, the head of the authority will push for a positive outcome of the discussion. Probably, the European state is more interested in money than in the fighter jets that were in service.
