American director Quentin Tarantino has completed the script for his new film, writing The Hollywood Reporter, citing sources. The work was called “The Movie Critic”.

The action in Tarantino’s new work, according to the publication, will be set in late 1970s Los Angeles. The Hollywood Reporter suggests that the director will show the story of one of the influential film critics, Pauline Cale.

Filming is scheduled for fall 2023. The Hollywood Reporter writes that a contract to shoot the film could be awarded to Sony.

In 2012, Tarantino said in an interview with Playboy that he wanted to “stop at some point”. According to him, in the filmography of directors, the last four works are usually the worst in their careers.

If you count two Kill Bill films as one, then 59-year-old Quentin Tarantino has nine films under his belt. His latest work, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was released in 2019. The film received the Golden Globe Award and the director received this award in the Best Screenplay nomination. For his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Brad Pitt received the Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Tarantino himself is the owner of two “Oscars” for the best scripts in the films “Django Unchained” and “Pulp Fiction”. For his work in his tapes, many also received an Oscar – two statuettes for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, one for The Hateful Eight, an award for Inglourious Basterds.
