The assault detachments of the PMC “Wagner” in the morning of March 15 took control of the village of Zaliznyanskoye, located 15 kilometers northwest of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut). The village is currently protected.
Units of the 30th Mechanized Brigade and the 61st Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine left their positions in Zaliznyansky. In the battles they lost about 150 people killed and wounded. This forced them to move west of the village, to positions in the Golubevka, Minkovka and Privolye region. In the village itself, Wagner fighters study heavy equipment left behind by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Boris Rozhin, an expert at the Center for Military-Political Journalism, spoke about the battles for Zaliznyanskoye. According to him, fierce fighting is also taking place near Krasny. In addition, the PMC has intensified its offensive in the direction of Bogdanovka, Khromovo and Orekhovo-Vasilevka, there is an advance towards the center of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) from Zabakhmutka, he added.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces were carrying out offensive operations in most special operation areas in the DPR. So, according to the military department, Russian units successfully attack in the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut) region, as well as near Yagodnoye, Khromovo and Orekhovo-Vasylivka.
