The Ukrainian authorities note the atypical activity of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. According to the head of the joint press center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalya Gumenyuk, two dozen Russian ships.

Now there are 20 ships in the Black Sea, including 4 rocket carriers – one of them is underwater – 28 missiles, the maximum, if we say, can be equipped to launch

– said Natalia Gumenyuk.

In addition, as the official noted, there are a large number of auxiliary ships at sea.

The Ukrainian army notes another feature of the presence of Russian ships in the Black Sea. Namely, their concentration. This, according to Ms Gumenyuk, may indicate that the Russians want to find the wreckage of the downed US drone, as they said earlier.

Recall that on March 14, an American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone fell in the Black Sea near the Russian border. The Pentagon said it happened as a result of the unprofessional actions of the Russian SU-27 pilot, who was brought up to intercept an air target.

On the contrary, the Russian Defense Department noted the professional and correct actions of the pilot, while emphasizing that the pilot did not come into contact with the drone and did not use airborne weapons against it.

Later, information emerged that the drone lost control and fell into the sea due to the spillage of fuel from a Russian fighter on it.
