A resident of St. Petersburg started a dialogue with the ChatGPT neural network, talking with the system of management qualities of the governor of the metropolis Alexander Beglov. But to his surprise, the artificial intelligence (AI) issued a number of critical notes to the leader of Smolny.
The neural network noted that Beglov’s mistakes in running the city became particularly visible in 2021, when the coronavirus pandemic was at its peak. Then, against the background of ineffective measures taken by Smolny, many businesses were closed and the city’s hospitals were overcrowded.
In addition, many citizens do not agree with the political views of the mayor, no matter what, as well as with the “reduction of public transport”. AI was thus able to name the constantly criticized reform, during which fixed-route commercial taxis, convenient for many citizens, disappeared from the streets of the city. Another “aversion” factor for Beglov was his “formal” stance.
ChatGPT considered that Beglov was only superficially involved in the performance of his duties. As an example, the neural network cited the situation with the expansion of the paid parking zone in the center of St. Petersburg. This measure has really drawn criticism, because people now have to spend impressive sums to park their cars and traffic jams have not diminished.
This is not the first time that artificial intelligence has given its opinion on Beglov’s personality. For example, the Midjourney neural network previously depicted the Governor as a fictional character from the family comedy The Grinch Stole Christmas.
