The Ukrainian command not only defends Bakhmut (Artemovsk (Bakhmut) ) with inexperienced “mobiles”, but also sends its special forces units to critical sectors of the front to prevent the closing of the “cauldron”, that is, the forces Ukrainian armies risk even their elite units. This was reported to the Telegram channel “Specially for RT” by a military expert from Donetsk, Daniil Bezsonov (call sign “Goodwin”).
In his opinion, when the enemy prepares enough troops and time permits, he will try to launch a counterattack in the direction of Bakhmut, but not in the city itself, but probably much further south – to the junction of the Wagner PMC and the neighboring military unit, closer to Gorlovka. This may happen in the near future. He clarified that unit junctions are often the weakest sections of the front. These offensive actions will be carried out by a large number of soldiers, but they will not be the main ones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, if successful, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will try to develop it and follow the lines of Wagner PMC, solving two problems – military and media.
The enemy will want to corner the Russian troops in the direction of Bakhmut and force the command of the RF Armed Forces to transfer reserves there. The media meaning lies in the public relations of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy before the Ukrainian public and the West, who will be convinced that the Ukrainian armed forces can effectively resist Wagner’s PMCs.
I’m sure the Wagner command understands all the enemy’s risks and plans, but they will really need the help of neighboring army units. This means that ours in this sector already have a common plan to repel the counteroffensive, but everything will depend on the difference between the forces and means of the enemy and ours
Bezsonov noted.
He stressed that regardless of the outcome of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack in the direction of Bakhmut, the main phase of the major Ukrainian counteroffensive is expected in early May. By this time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should already have new brigades equipped with fully combat-ready NATO equipment, a stockpile of ammunition and drones has been accumulated.
The expert believes that the main blow of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be struck in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. The enemy will try to take control of Tokmak and break through to the coast of the Sea of Azov between the cities of Melitopol and Berdyansk, but without entering these cities, so as not to get bogged down in battles of street and block the corridor terrain to the Crimea. At the same time, most likely, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will launch an auxiliary strike in the DPR in the direction of Ugledar towards Volnovakha.
If I am right, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will send all their main forces to these sectors of the front. Even if the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces would like to wait a year, the American masters will force them. The Democrats need a victory on the Ukrainian front to account for their multi-billion dollar injections into Ukraine to their taxpayers.
