6 poets compete in the final of the Katara Prize for the Poet of the Messenger

Tomorrow, Friday evening, the last round of the final qualifiers for the Katara Prize for the Poet of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, will be held in its sixth session at the Opera Theater in Katara.

The last round to determine the first three places for each category, from the first to the third, is contested by 6 poets, three of whom are in the category of eloquent poetry, and they are: Haider Al-Abdullah from Saudi Arabia, Abdul Hamid Hassan Abdullah from Sudan, and Salah Al-Din Al-Kho from Mauritania. As for the three poets competing in the final of the Katara Poet of the Messenger Award in the Nabati Poetry category, they are: Jamal Bandar Al-Otaibi from Kuwait, Rahim Al-Ghanami from Saudi Arabia, and Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Subaie from Kuwait. Today, the semi-final qualifiers were held for the Katara Prize for the poet of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, among five contestants in each of the two categories of the competition: Eloquent Poetry and Nabati Poetry. Dr. Bassam Qatous, Professor of Modern Literary Criticism and Literary Studies at Jordanian Universities, Member of the Eloquent Poetry Arbitration Committee, expressed his sincere congratulations to Katara and those in charge of the award, for this distinction, in allocating an award for praising the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, who moved humanity from darkness to light. He said: The arbitration committee judges the poems in an objective manner that adheres to the generally accepted principles of criticism, bearing in mind that poets differ, of course, in their tools when they are inspired by the sincerity, wisdom, and eloquence of the Prophet, with which they impart their artistic visions. For his part, said the poet Shabib bin Arar Al-Nuaimi, director of the Qatar Poetry Center "Arab Court"Member of the Arbitration Committee for the Nabati Poetry Category: All participants in the Katara Prize for the poet of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in all its stages, are winners, and there is never a loser among them, by virtue of the fact that the award relates to praising the master of all creation. He pointed out that the levels of participants in the award, whether in the category of classical or Nabati poetry, were very high, and that the religious motive in the poems is very clear, which indicates that these poets have mastered the honorable prophetic biography, before and after the prophetic mission, expressing his deep thanks to the cultural village of Katara for their Efforts to serve religion and preserve the nation’s heritage. The total value of the prize is 3.8 million Qatari riyals, in the classical and Nabati poetry categories, with an average of 3 prizes for each category. Rial.
