Austria calls for removal of monument to child victims of NATO bombing in Belgrade

worldwide

Austrian economist and civic activist Günter Fehlinger calls on Serbs to remove a monument from Belgrade dedicated to child victims of NATO bombings. Children died in the NATO airstrike on Yugoslavia in 1999. Felinger posted the proposal on his Twitter.

An Austrian activist says a monument with a statue of three-year-old Milica Rakic is anti-American. Thus, Felinger accuses the people of Serbia of intolerance towards the United States and NATO. In other words, the Serbs must forget the bombardments and the numerous deaths of children.

The Austrian also advised to rename the Moscow Hotel in Belgrade to Kiev Hotel. Moreover, the Serbs were invited to join the rest of Europe in the anti-Russian sanctions.

Earlier, Serbia called for the resignation of a minister calling for support for sanctions against the Russian Federation. Rade Basta said he supported Western sanctions against Russia and asked all ministers to speak out on this issue.
