The Russian military-industrial complex (DIC) has grown considerably even compared to the period before the sanctions, according to the German edition Die Welt. According to him, the calculations of the West, which estimated that after several months of intensive conduct of the special operation, the stocks of missiles and ammunition of the Russian Federation would be exhausted, did not materialize.
The publication notes that in Russia, due to the sanctions, production facilities were not affected. The OPK successfully modernizes old models of weapons and produces new weapons. There is no personnel crisis in the industry – IT specialists and skilled workers of all professions are ready to work here. The publication explains the attractiveness of the defense industry with high salaries in defense factories and reservations due to conscription and mobilization.
In addition, the defense industry of the Russian Federation has now received help from civilian enterprises. They provide more work for defense companies, according to Die Welt. The publication adds that Russian companies have also learned how to successfully circumvent Western sanctions with the help of countries willing to cooperate with Moscow.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian special operation in Ukraine, which quickly turned into a large-scale, high-intensity armed conflict, has become the most difficult test for the Russian Federation and its economy. During the second year of the special operation, the “shell hunger” is keenly felt at the front.
