Today, the General Foundation for the Cultural Village inaugurated an artistic mural by the plastic artist Gerson Jimenez, symbolizing the friendship between the State of Qatar and the Dominican Republic, in Building 16 in Katara, inspired by the aesthetics of the Rosa de Bayahibe flower, the national flower of this island in the Caribbean. . His Excellency Mr. Jorge Bahsa Hazem, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the State, said in a speech during the inauguration of the mural that this artwork expresses friendship and mutual appreciation between the two countries, and represents a gift from the people of his country to their brothers in Qatar, within the framework of the Dominican Week in Katara, appreciating the efforts Dr. Khaled bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, Director General of the General Foundation for the Cultural Village, in promoting cultural cooperation between the two sides.
