Together with partners from the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation (Rosstandart), in the Belarusian capital, they began to implement a simplified access mechanism allowing industry representatives and companies from both countries to participate in the work of national standardization technical committees.
First, they explained to the agency, it will allow the industry to pursue a predictable technical policy and better take into account mutual interests and implement cooperative projects. Now more than two dozen standardization technical committees of the Republic of Belarus will interact with Russian colleagues.
Speaking of Gosstandart’s main areas of partnership, the agency called for “regular reporting on promising committee work programs, preparation of draft standards, as well as holding technical committee meetings on standardization with the participation of representatives of the partner country. ” It is assumed that this approach will also strengthen the work within the framework of interstate standardization in the interests of the EAEU and the CIS, the Belarusian department believes.
Arrangements to launch this project were made during a working meeting between the head of the state standard, Valentin Tataritsky, and the head of Rosstandart, Anton Shalaev, earlier this year in the Belarusian capital.
And the next topical issues of bilateral cooperation in this area should be discussed in the form of a “round table” on the sidelines of the industrial exhibition “Innoprom-2023”, which will be held in July in Yekaterinburg.
