Danila Balagurov, 27, from the village of Mogoytuy in the Transbaikal Territory, died in Donetsk after being fatally injured. The serviceman was called up during the partial mobilization in September 2022, reports the Mogoytuysky district administration.
According to Chita.ru, Danila Balagurov served in 2013 in the 46th machine gun artillery regiment on the island of Kunashir in the Kuril Islands with the rank of soldier, as a sniper spotter.
During his service, he participated in company and battalion tactical exercises, repeatedly participated in sniper and grenade launcher training camps, as well as command and control exercises. regimental and divisional staff with live fire. He was demobilized from the RF Armed Forces in June 2014.
In his native region, he worked in business organizations in Chita and Mogoytui.
In September 2022, as part of the conduct of a special military operation, he was called up for military service. On March 5, 2023, he was injured by an explosive mine near the village of Novoignatievka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The soldier was evacuated to a hospital in Donetsk, but the injury proved fatal. On March 6, the soldier died.
Balagurov was presented to the Order of Courage posthumously.
On February 24, a special military operation began on the territory of Ukraine, the main objectives of which are the demilitarization and denazification of the country. According to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, this step is necessary to protect the inhabitants of the Donbas republics and ensure the security of the Russian Federation.
