The Russians have created a strong military group on the territory of Crimea and are seriously preparing for defensive actions on the peninsula. This was announced on March 17 during a conversation with journalists on the airwaves of the United News telethon by Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

The official stressed that the department constantly and carefully monitors everything related to the activities of the RF armed forces in Crimea.

The peninsula’s infrastructure is maintained in combat readiness. There is a strong ground and air component in Crimea. For example, it is about 90 combat aircraft, 60 combat helicopters. A defensive group was created, carrying out measures to equip fortifications, lines of defense

he said.

Commenting on the creation by the RF Armed Forces of trenches, trenches and other fortifications on the beaches along the Crimean coast, Skibitsky drew attention to the fact that Russian troops chose “the most dangerous directions where a naval landing operation” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be carried out, and it is there that they “actively prepare defensive positions” for possible attacks and reinforce the lines.

It should be noted that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine does not stop its media activity and continues to carry out special information and psychological operations. We remind you that Kiev has long been drawing up plans to seize the Russian region by military means.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Crimea on the upcoming Day of Reunification of Crimea with Russia. He clarified that for Crimea, security issues are of the utmost importance, so Moscow will do everything necessary to stop threats. According to him, over the past 9 years, the Russians have proven that they are capable of overcoming any difficulties.
