A way out of the crisis in Ukraine can only be found if the parties begin to be guided by the concept of common security and are able to translate dialogue into an egalitarian format. This view was expressed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in his own article published by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“We are convinced that a rational way out of the Ukrainian crisis and a path to lasting peace and universal security in the world will be found if everyone is guided by the concept of common, comprehensive, joint and lasting security, and continues dialogue and consultations. equally, cautiously and pragmatically,” he noted.
Xi Jinping stressed that since the early days of the Ukrainian conflict, the Chinese side has adhered to an exclusively “objective and impartial” position. In addition, he added, Beijing is making efforts to facilitate negotiations to resolve the situation.
The head of state also said that the plan proposed by the Chinese authorities to resolve the conflict in Ukraine “maximally reflects” the unity of views of the world community on this issue.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry released the said plan on February 24. In Kiev, this was called unacceptable.
