Divers recover body of missing Volga Cream Soda chef

Divers recovered from the Volga the body of the co-founder of the Cream Soda group Dmitry Svirgunov, who on the night of March 20 fell through the ice in the Yaroslavl region and was considered missing. It is reported RIA News And “Kommersant” with reference to law enforcement sources.

According to Kommersant, Svirgunov was identified by a relative. The search continues for two more missing people – the brother of musician Roman Svirgunov and their friend Georgy Kiselev.

The divers have been working continuously for more than seven hours, the Yaroslavl region fire and rescue service told RIA Novosti. Research is hampered by strong currents.

It is now strictly forbidden to go out on the ice, especially on the Volga, where there is a strong current, Oleg Belovoshin, head of the center responsible for ensuring civil defense actions and emergency situations of the service of fire and rescue of the Yaroslavl region, said in a conversation with the agency.

“Where people have fallen, the river turns and the current becomes stronger, we assume that the ice has just been washed away and it could not support so many people,” he explained.

Dmitry Svirgunov, his brother and three of their friends fell through the ice in the Yaroslavl region on the night of March 20. A girl was able to get out, another man was also pulled out, but he later died in an ambulance.

According to the media and telegraph channels, there were about ten people in the musician’s company. They crossed the ice at night and fell in the water on the way back. “The Moscow Comsomolets” writing that young people would have danced on ice.
