His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and His Excellency President Sardar Berdimuhamedov, President of friendly Turkmenistan, held an official discussion session at the Emiri Diwan this morning.
At the beginning of the session, His Highness the Amir welcomed the President and his accompanying delegation, wishing him a pleasant stay and the relations between the two countries further development and growth in various fields.
For his part, the Turkmen President expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Emir for the hospitality and reception, expressing his hope that this visit would contribute to strengthening the relations of cooperation between the two countries and pushing them to broader horizons at all levels.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them in all fields, especially education, economy, investment, trade, energy, sports and social affairs, in addition to exchanging views on the most important regional and international issues.
The talks were attended by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior, His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Head of the Emiri Court, HE Minister of Transportation Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, Minister of Municipality, His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qasim Al-Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Her Excellency Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, and His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al-Marri Minister of Labour.
On the Turkmen side, it was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, HE Deputy Prime Minister in charge of trade and private sector services, HE Mr. Batir Atdaev, HE Deputy Prime Minister in charge of oil and gas affairs, Mr. Asherkuli Begilev, and HE Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, H.E. Khogamrad Keldemiradov. Ministers and in charge of economic, financial and banking affairs, His Excellency Mr. Serdar Malguliyev, the Attorney General, His Excellency Mrs. Kurbankul Ataeva, Minister of Education, His Excellency Mr. Serda Guryov, Minister of Finance and Economy, His Excellency Mr. Mammad Sayid Silabov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation.
His Highness Emir Al-Mufdi and His Excellency the Turkmen President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed a number of issues of common concern.
His Highness Emir Al-Moufdi held a luncheon in honor of His Excellency President Sardar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, and the accompanying delegation. His Excellency the Turkmen President had arrived at the Amiri Diwan earlier, where an official reception ceremony was held for His Excellency.
