Minsk aims for ‘real breakthrough’ in relations with Kalmykia, Lukashenko says – Reuters

Talking about the current state of business cooperation, Lukashenka confirmed that additional impetus to the cooperative ties was given by the exchange of visits of delegations in September last year, the meetings and the negotiations held. “But we have a real economic breakthrough ahead of us,” predicted the head of state optimistically.

In turn, Batu Khasikov, expressing his gratitude for the cordial reception, said that between the partners “a new impetus of relations is being realized”, which is based on their history as the foundation “for further development “.
During the three-day visit, the delegation from Kalmykia, the agency specifies, the Russian guests are to meet with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus and the Minister of Agriculture and Food.

The program of the visit also includes a meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between Belarus and Kalmykia. Russians will visit the Minsk and MTZ Automobile Plant, the “Great Stone” Industrial Park and the Belarusian Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.

By the way, the delegation from Kalmykia, the agency recalls, already visited the republic just a month ago. During the February visit, the Russian side held a number of meetings and negotiations in Minsk aimed at expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and increasing exchanges between the parties.
