The Central Bank has forced banks to use only Russian services for internal transfers

From October 1 this year, when transferring funds to Russia, banks will be required to use only domestic services and financial infrastructure. This was announced today at the Central Bank.

It should be noted that this requirement will ensure security and the uninterrupted exchange of data. However, this measure will not apply to cross-border transfers.

Recall that several years ago Russia developed its own analogue of the SWIFT international settlement system. A year ago, the President of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, noted that more than fifty foreign organizations from 12 countries use SPFS.

After the start of a special military operation, the European Union decided to disconnect several major Russian banks from SWIFT.
