The Iraqi parliament votes "partially" on the new election law

The Iraqi parliament voted to adopt specific mechanisms for sorting the election results, during its vote on the third amendment law of the new election law.

Parliament presented a number of paragraphs of the law for a vote, as Article 16 of the law was voted on, which stipulates that "The Commission adopts electronic results accelerator devices, and conducts the manual counting and sorting process for all polling centers in the same polling station after sending the results to the results tabulation center, the carrier, and issuing the electronic results report from the results accelerator device, and the Commission is committed to announcing the results within 24 hours for public and private voting, and that In the event of a mismatch between the results of the electronic counting and sorting and the manual counting and sorting in the same polling station by less than 5 percent, the results of the manual counting and sorting shall be adopted.".

Also voted on Article 15 of the law, which includes that "The next House of Representatives will consist of 329 seats"which is the same as the current number.. In addition to holding the provincial council elections on November 6th.

The Presidency of the Parliament decided to resume voting on the law in a session to be held next Saturday, and there are 15 articles left in the law that need discussion and voting.
