The State of Qatar participated in talks about the future of education in Afghanistan and the challenges and obstacles it faces. The State of Qatar was represented in the talks, which were held in Doha, by Her Excellency Mrs. Lulwa bint Rashid Al-Khater, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of Mr. Fahad Al-Sulaiti, CEO of the Education Above All Foundation. The participants in the talks discussed the economic challenges, poor infrastructure, limited human resources and qualifications in Afghanistan, in addition to ensuring equal access to education for all, especially girls. The participants also agreed on the need to guarantee the right to education for all, develop a common vision that deals with the challenges, and provide high-quality educational opportunities for all Afghan students in all regions. HE the Assistant Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts of the Education Above All Foundation to facilitate the holding of these talks, and also expressed her appreciation to the delegations of the Afghan Ministry of Education, UNICEF and Education Cannot Wait for participating in the talks. Her Excellency stressed the importance of completing the talks to reach radical solutions, the development of the education and health sector in Afghanistan, stressing the keenness and commitment of the State of Qatar to support the brotherly Afghan people and help them overcome difficulties. For its part, the delegation of the Afghan Ministry of Education expressed its appreciation to the State of Qatar for its efforts in organizing this event, which would come up with solutions that help the Afghan people to improve the quality of education and ensure its access to boys and girls in all regions of Afghanistan. For their part, the UNICEF delegation and Education Cannot Wait appreciated the efforts of the State of Qatar and the Education Above All Foundation to facilitate these talks, and thanked the delegation of the Afghan Ministry of Education for its keenness to participate in the talks.
