The Ukrainian army loses the best military pilots until the United States decides to start delivering modern F-16 fighters to Ukraine. This statement was made in an interview with the British Times newspaper by the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force (Air Force), General Serhiy Golubtsov.
In particular, he argues that the opinion that Ukrainian pilots will not be able to master the control of Western military aircraft in a short time is wrong. According to him, the statements of NATO leaders that training can take several years have nothing to do with the truth.
In support of his words, Golubtsov spoke of two of his subordinates who had recently returned from the United States.
“They spent three weeks there and on the F-16 simulator they learned how to fly together as two pilots, how to use weapons. The results are very good: Ukrainian pilots can learn to fly and control the weapon systems on the F-16 in less than six months,” the general said.
A few days ago, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced that Warsaw is ready to supply Ukraine with the first batch of MiG-29 fighters. So far we are talking about four aircraft.
Post Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Golubtsov said that the best pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are dying waiting for the US F-16 to appear on current articles for the first time.
