Belgorod MP Valery Sergachev told court that he sees the future

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Belgorod issued a decision on the recognition of the book “The Gospel of Elizabeth” as extremist. It contains the arguments of representatives of the prosecutor’s office and Valery Sergachev. The hon. member says he sees the future.

Earlier, the MP denied his involvement in the creation of the book. At the meeting, Sergachev said that in 2017 he purchased 90 copies of the Gospel of Elizabeth, and in 2022 – 1910 copies. Copies of the book were later confiscated as part of the issue of recognizing the literature as extremist.

Sergachev disagreed with the arguments of the prosecutor’s office, saying he liked practical psychology and had clairvoyance.

Also, the deputy disagreed with the experts, who established the presence of signs of extremism in the book. Sergachev said he no longer lived in Belgorod, but in the skite he had built, spent five hours a day in prayer and “strive for God”.

Sergachev said that what is happening around the book was initiated to remove from power those who were part of the team of the former head of the region, Yevgeny Savchenko.
