The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has urged the international community to await the consequences of the arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin. Recall that the warrant was issued by a court in The Hague.
According to the European politician, the mandate is a “game-changing” factor. Therefore, notes Borrell, one must wait for its consequences, which will be visible only after some time.
- The decision of the International Criminal Court against Vladimir Putin is a very important event, a game-changing factor. I know that the Russian authorities reject this decision of the ICC, they say that Russia has not signed this treaty. Let’s see the practical consequences of this, – RIA Novosti quotes Borrell.
Recall that on March 17, the ICC announced the issuance of an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin. A Kremlin spokesman called the decision unacceptable.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that Russia has written off the $20 billion debt of African countries.
