Donetsk People’s Republic ombudsman Daria Morozova said Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are inventing new and more sophisticated types of torture against Russian POWs.

“It’s getting worse. It’s gotten even more sophisticated, unfortunately. We’re talking about a new batch of our rescued guys,” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

The authorities of the DPR will transmit information on new Ukrainian tortures to the investigative committee of Russia.

Morozova stressed that this will all be part of a larger criminal case against Ukraine.

“The guilty will be punished. Our guys are great anyway. They hold on. They don’t lose heart. They weren’t broken,” she added.

Earlier, Private Aleksey Lukoyanov, who returned from the military special operation zone, said Russian POWs were beaten, tortured and forced to learn the Ukrainian anthem in captivity in Ukraine.
