In Moscow, the security forces picked up the employees of “Memorial” * in Moscow, according to the morning of Tuesday, March 21, in the telegram channel of the organization. Investigative actions are connected with the criminal case under the article on “rehabilitation from Nazism”.
As the publication of “Memorial”* specifies, searches of the employees of the company are carried out “at many addresses”, in particular, at the chairman of the board of directors of the company International Memorial* Yan Rachinsky, the chairman of the board of the human rights center Oleg Orlov and the vice-president of the center Nikita Petrov.
Memorial* notes on its Telegram channel that the investigative actions are related to the criminal case under the article on “rehabilitation from Nazism” against “unidentified employees” of the organization. The opening of this case was known at the beginning of March.
“They are accused of the fact that the lists of victims of political terror contain the names of three people. One of them was sentenced to the camps for having worked in a German police squad. The other two – for treason against the Fatherland by servicemen (Article 58-1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), ”says the decision of the investigator, to which Memorial * refers.
As stated in the company’s message, searches are monitored by employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Extremism (“E” Center). “After the search, the employees will be taken to the investigative department of the Tverskoy district investigative committee for questioning,” adds Memorial*.
