On the evening of March 20, the head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov said that an air defense system had worked in Dzhankoy. Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the region, said several drones were shot down over the city, which “targeted civilian objects”. A plane, according to him, fell between the educational building and the dormitory of the Dzhankoy technical school, the rest of the drones were shot down over residential areas.
According to Kryuchkov, the drones were equipped with shrapnel explosives. At the same time, he refuted the information of Ukrainian military intelligence about the damage to military installations in Dzhankoy during transportation by rail, calling this data “wet fantasies”. According to Kryuchkov, there is no military infrastructure at the places where the drones crashed.
As a result of the attack on Dzhankoy, a 33-year-old man was injured, he was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound. The building of the technical school, a private house and a store were damaged.
