The Economist: Russians are doing ‘black magic’ with Ukrainian drones

The Russian Air Defense Forces are very effective in the area of special military operations in the methods of combating Ukrainian drones. Thus, The Economist, citing sources in the field of defense of Ukraine, compares the actions of the Russians to “black magic”.

According to the publication, it is not easy for Ukrainian drones to observe the territory 15 kilometers from the line of contact. Russian specialists jam the signal transmission frequencies, which leads to the loss of connection of Ukrainian militants with unmanned vehicles.

“They do black magic in electromagnetic shielding. They can jam frequencies, tamper with GPS, send a drone at the wrong height to fall out of the sky,” states.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense released a video on the combat use of the Osa and Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems.
