Today, the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, and Sports and Youth launched an initiative for joint cooperation between them to enhance and coordinate efforts, and integrate roles and responsibilities, in order to achieve national development goals, in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030, in the presence of HE Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, and HE Ms. Buthaina Bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, and a number of senior officials from both sides. The cooperation initiative, which was held in the Lusail multi-use hall, according to a joint statement from the two ministries, aimed at exchanging experiences, best practices and optimal employment of capabilities, to develop the capabilities of students, teachers, employees, parents and society, in all fields, in addition to discovering talents, exploding creative energies, investing leisure time, and enhancing skills. life, and raise the status of stakeholders on both sides. The initiative also encourages physical sports among students and youth, builds and enhances their self-confidence and helps them achieve all their potential, attracts and nurtures people with specific talents, raises the cultural level of youth, consolidates their national identity, in addition to increasing community participation in sports, achieving sports excellence, and promoting benefit from sports. The joint cooperation initiative included several areas, including organizing summer activities between youth centers and schools, in a way that contributes to serving youth and students during the summer holidays, expanding the activities and programs of the Qatar Science Club in coordination with schools, and organizing periodic competitions between schools. The areas of cooperation also included establishing traditions related to the celebration of the National Sports Day by organizing sporting events and competitions, organizing introductory and educational visits for students to World Cup facilities to see the sustainable heritage, providing volunteer opportunities for school students in events, programs and tournaments organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and facilitating schools to benefit from Self-defense trainers affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth by organizing weekly classes for students in schools in this regard. In a related context, His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, and Her Excellency Mrs. Buthaina bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, toured the 15th Schools Robotics Championship, which is organized by the Qatar Scientific Club of the Ministry of Sports and Youth in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. And higher education, with the wide participation of male and female students from 160 public and private schools, in Lusail Hall, where the two ministers were briefed on the students’ creativity, and followed aspects of their competitions.
