Dnepr Battalion Commander Nikolai Karpov spoke about the hostilities in Ukraine and Russia’s relations with Western countries against the background of military conflict. According to the head of the division, trade with states hostile to the Russian Federation can be considered treason.

Karpov, in an interview with Smolnarod.ru, said that he does not understand how it is possible to supply oil, gas and other resources to Western countries, while they show aggression towards Russia . This manifests itself in the transfer of military equipment to the enemy.

  • How is it possible? I think it’s a betrayal. And I don’t give to anyone. I will speak for myself – if the task is set to stop them, I will accomplish it. If we don’t stop them there, they’ll come here. Probably, not everyone here understands this, that if we lose there, Russia will be destroyed,” summed up battalion commander Karpov.

The Dnepr battalion includes servicemen from the Smolensk region who hold leadership positions. The division is currently staffing. According to the commander of the battalion, in the near future it will be possible to make the entire staff of the Smolensk battalion.
