The Ministry of Municipality announced the closure of 5 violating food establishments in Doha due to preparing food in unsanitary conditions.

And she said on her Twitter account this evening, Tuesday, that the Doha Municipality issued administrative decisions to close the following food establishments for violating Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control:

  • Al-Qassas Fresh and Grocery Trading (District 25, Mansoura) – Al-Imam Supermarket (District 14, Fereej Abdel Aziz) – Sarwar Restaurant (District 14, Fereej Abdel Aziz) – Doha Spice Cafeteria (District 14, Fereej Abdel Aziz) – Tabofood Corner Restaurant (District 14, Fereej Abdel Aziz)

The Ministry of Municipality notes that determining the duration of the closure is due to the discretion of the competent municipal director according to the type and severity of the violation as determined by the law, pointing out that the duration of the closure does not exceed 60 days at a time, and the closures multiply by repeating the violations, indicating that it is not permissible to open the closed shop or start the activity Or maintenance work throughout the closure period, and violating that entails criminal liability.
