Qatar Charity announces the start of its Ramadan campaign “Ramadan Impact” in 40 countries

Qatar Charity announced the start of implementing its Ramadan campaign projects "Ramadan effect" In 40 countries around the world, through its field offices and local partners, where it is expected that the number of beneficiaries of these projects will reach more than one million people, at an estimated cost of about 31 million riyals. Qatar Charity stated, in a statement today, that these projects focus on areas of disasters and crises, such as: the Syrian interior, Turkey, Somalia, Bangladesh and Palestine, and also target the neediest groups in poor societies.

In this context, Mr. Nawaf Al-Hammadi, Assistant CEO of the International Operations and Programs Sector at Qatar Charity, said that the campaign focuses on three main projects: breakfasting the fasting person (food baskets, meals and breakfast tables), distributing zakat al-Fitr, and Eid clothing, indicating that The implementation of the Iftar project for the fasting person will start from today, and it will continue to be implemented throughout the holy month, while the other two projects will be implemented in a later period of it.

He pointed out that the fasting person’s breakfast project will be implemented in the form of breakfast meals or food baskets that include basic food items and cover the family’s needs for a full month. Al-Fitr, which contributes to the expansion of needy families during the month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, amounts to about 8.2 million riyals, and it is expected that 542,200 people will benefit from it.

Al-Hammadi indicated that the Eid clothing aims to bring joy to the hearts of orphan children on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, and its value amounts to more than 1.4 million riyals, and about 7 thousand and 65 orphan children will benefit from it.
