The competent authorities are conducting an investigation to uncover the causes of the collapse of a building in central Doha

The Ministry of the Interior said that the investigation teams have begun their work to uncover the causes of the building’s collapse in the Bin Dirham area in downtown Doha.

Brigadier General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Muftah, Director of Public Relations Department at the Ministry, said in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that "The investigation authorities have begun procedures to uncover the causes of the building collapse, which occurred at around 8:30 am in the Bin Dirham area in central Doha."He also indicated that search and rescue operations are continuing at the site. In his statement to QNA, Brigadier General Al-Muftah described the condition of the wounded as light and moderate, pointing out that they are receiving the necessary treatment.

He also indicated that the specialized teams evacuated the families from the building and the neighboring buildings "Precautionary"and transferred to a hotel "Where they receive appropriate psychological support from the community police".

And the Ministry of Interior had announced, earlier today, that the specialized civil defense teams were able to save the lives of (7) people as a result of the fall of a four-storey residential building in the Bin Dirham area in central Doha, while one person who was in the building died. .
