According to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, on the eve of a serviceman of the country’s army, while transporting food to a combat position by car, he got lost in conditions of poor visibility. As a result, he found himself in the territory controlled by Azerbaijan.

Despite the initial agreement, Azerbaijani military opened fire on them, Armenian sources said. The Russian army car was reportedly the target of fire in Syunik.
