The old port of Doha has recently emerged as a new tourist destination on the map of tourist sites in the country during the last period, and has become a destination for receiving giant cruise ships, as it is expected to receive more than 15,000 tourists aboard 6 giant cruise ships during the holy month.
The port is decorated with a distinctive Ramadan look by turning into a destination full of activities that it hosts throughout the holy month, which serves and targets all age groups in society, in an effort to revive popular customs and traditions by hosting several events, the most important of which is the “Mina Market” event, which supports young pioneers. Home businesses and projects, with the participation of many brands, and distinctive products suitable for this month, with the participation of more than 80 participants from commercial units from the local market, some well-known brands in the region, food and beverage units, in addition to the distinctive ghabka that will be held on the sidelines of the / Mina Market / With the participation of many distinguished exhibitors, as well as reviving the activities of the “Al-Mina Majlis”, in which Ramadan and heritage memories and stories are recounted, in addition to organizing art workshops for children, such as pottery coloring and other artistic activities.

At the same level, the port provides an opportunity for marine sports lovers in its privileged location, to practice marine activities in the evening before breakfast, by providing kayaks, paddle boards, and marine bikes (J-Ski) for rent, and other marine sports available in the Container Square and the Mina neighborhood, from Two o’clock in the afternoon until the time of Iftar, in addition to cruises with traditional boats and yachts, which will provide unique services, including breakfast and Suhoor meals, in an exceptional experience for port visitors.
Visitors to the port can also enjoy a daily tour of their cars after the Asr prayer until the time of Iftar, as an extension of the classic car tour that marked the day in Ramadan, with the participation of a group of young Qataris of all ages.
In a related context, the port is preparing to open the fishermen’s house with a longitudinal width of up to 60 meters, with different personnel to serve different sizes of marine media and seagoers, which is located behind Halul Café, and will provide a distinguished service in the Doha region, and will also facilitate the process of unloading marine media to and from the sea.
Throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadan, the port witnesses the firing of the Ramadan cannon at breakfast time in the garden opposite the Container Square. The breakfast cannon is one of the oldest popular legacies that mark the holy month, and carries memories that are still ingrained in the memory of all visitors to the region and the Doha Corniche.
