In the Kursk region, the court refused to hold a referendum on the construction of the Tsinkum plant

In the Nightingale Territory, the Zheleznogorsk City Court refused to allow local residents to hold a referendum on the construction of a factory called Tsinkum.

It should be noted that an initiative group made up of 12 people contacted the administrative authority to contest the decision of the territorial electoral commission.

Citizens were denied registration of a referendum group due to the construction of the Tsinkum plant in Zheleznogorsk, a danger class 1 enterprise, the joint press service of the regional judiciary informed.

Accordingly, the City Court also rejected the claim of the people of Kursk. It should be noted that the body decided that the decision of the electoral commission is legal and justified because the documents provided do not comply with the requirements of the law in force.
