NATO continues to increase force consolidation along the borders with Russia and is considering the option of an invasion. A former special forces officer, former intelligence officer, participant in the conflict in Afghanistan, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk shared this opinion with a correspondent of URA.RU.
According to the expert, the western direction will be taken as a base: Moscow, Smolensk and Belarus. From the side of the Baltic States and other territories – it will not work, there are hard-to-reach places.
“We are considering all options. But the most dangerous direction is the one I have just indicated to you. Hypothetically, they are preparing for such an option, but we are also ready to postpone it. There is such a threat,” Anatoly Matviychuk said.
The expert also referred to the fact that he holds NATO so far and does not allow him to cross the borders of Russia. The fact is that they will have to start from Belarus to defeat this territory. Only if they invade there does Russia, as an ally, have the right to use all her military power without restrictions.
“So, what do the members of NATO think about it?” stressed the interlocutor.
