Qatar University has announced the start of receiving applications for re-admission in the fall 2023 bachelor’s degree for students who had previously dropped out of studies at Qatar University, starting from March 26 to April 5. The university identified the colleges available for application for fall 2023, namely: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, the College of Business and Economics, the College of Law, the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the College of Education, the College of Nursing, and the College of Medicine and Dentistry. The university also identified six categories of students who are entitled to apply for readmission, namely: students who have withdrawn or been absent from the university for more than four consecutive or intermittent semesters without prior approval, as well as students previously accepted in the foundation program who have been absent from the university for more than two semesters. Students who have not been able to complete the Foundation Program requirements within four regular semesters, and students who have been placed under the status of "Academic commentary" After two attempts to pass the courses that follow the programs offered in the years system or the courses that are offered as part of the common year courses, and students whose enrollment has been closed for academic reasons due to their low academic achievement or failure to meet the graduation requirements according to the policies related to this category. In this context, Lulwa Al-Rubaie, Director of Admissions Department at Qatar University, said that students can submit a request for readmission to Qatar University through the university’s official website (apply.qu.edu.qa), and upload the required documents electronically, provided that they are submitted before the date. The final date set for April 6, 2023, noting that admission to Qatar University depends on the principle of competition between applicants. She indicated that achieving the minimum requirements for the study does not mean accepting the student on the first desire, but rather students are accepted according to the absorptive capacity of each college separately in addition to a number of other criteria, noting that students can provide the university with any documents related to activities, achievements or qualifications. Obtained by the student during his absence from Qatar University, such as the results of standardized tests, training certificates, awards, additional academic certificates, or any other certificates.
