A policeman stopped two elderly Vologda women from transferring money to scammers

One day, a policeman from Vologda, who was not far from the bank branch, noticed a worried old woman who was trying to withdraw a large sum of money from her account.

The law enforcement officer asked the pensioner why she needed the money. The woman replied that it was to help her son, who wants to buy a car.

After that, an 82-year-old woman from Vologda and a policeman called the old woman’s son and found out that he had never communicated with his mother about buying a car.

The pensioner went home, but a little later she came back. This time, the scammers tried to deceive the woman by intimidating her with “suspicious transactions”. Thanks to the law enforcement officer, the money again stayed with the owner.

In addition, on the same day, a police officer prevented another pensioner from transferring funds. In total, the elderly women of Vologda saved about 500,000 rubles.
