Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Peskov commented on Kazakhstan’s plans to limit parallel imports to Russia

Russia

President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, when asked how the Kremlin assesses Kazakhstan’s role in the development of parallel imports. Earlier, it was learned that the country’s authorities intend to use a real-time transit tracking mechanism to prevent sanctions evasion.

“It is not news that the countries of the collective West, led by the United States, are exerting open and brutal pressure on a number of states which do not join in the illegal restrictions which have been imposed on our country. These States themselves tell us about it. Unfortunately, they have to deal with such an onslaught… We are continuing close contact with our partners to minimize the risks,” Peskov said.

From April 1, a system for accounting for products imported and exported from the country will work in Kazakhstan, writes FT. It is assumed that the mechanism will allow real-time monitoring of the entire chain of movement of goods from one border to another”, preventing the circumvention of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

According to Russians who have returned to their historic homeland from Kazakhstan, the attitude of the local population towards Russian speakers has changed over the past four years. Now every misunderstood word prompts Kazakhs to send interlocutors to the Russian Federation.
