The sons of the founder of the Yota company, Sergei Adoniev, were deprived of Bulgarian citizenship. This was reported by the “Bivol” portal, referring to the country’s Ministry of Justice.
It is reported that the withdrawal of Bulgarian citizenship was connected with the verification of the grounds on which the children received citizenship of the country. At the time of receipt of the documents, the two sons were minors and their parents had Bulgarian nationality.
The Ministry of Justice reported that the businessman’s children were deprived of Bulgarian citizenship due to the fact that Sergey Adoniev himself lost his citizenship in 2018. The entrepreneur obtained citizenship there is about 15 years old and deprived of it due to the fact that he was sentenced to 20 years in the United States for fraud.
Earlier, a Ukrainian Kolbasnikova, who was awaiting trial in Germany, applied for Russian citizenship. Olena Kolbasnikova, a Ukrainian citizen living in Cologne and organizer of large pro-Russian demonstrations in Germany, has applied for Russian citizenship while awaiting trial. She is accused of “support for crimes” after statements on the Ukrainian conflict.
