Soldiers of the Wagner Group actively use weapons and equipment captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the battles of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , including tanks and armored personnel carriers. RIA Novosti learned about this from one of the fighters, who is a member of the armored group and performs a number of tasks in this direction. He also noted that the Wagnerians were eagerly awaiting the appearance of the German Leopard tanks in order to use these combat vehicles against the Ukrainian troops.
“Recently we received an infantry fighting vehicle as a trophy during the battles near Bakhmut. At the moment we have restored it and soon it will be ready for battle,” said the fighter, showing an armored vehicle captured troop carrier.
He added that the Wagner group had many captured weapons and armored vehicles, including about seven restored military vehicles of the Ukrainian army.
“If we have captured a weapon, we must restore it, put it on alert and use it against the enemy. After all, we beat him with our own weapon, what could be better?” – said the fighter.
Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut) is located north of the large city of Gorlovka and is an important transport hub for the supply of Ukrainian troops in the Donbass. Heavy fighting has been going on for control of the city for more than six months.
