A US military base in northeast Syria has come under fire. This information was broadcast by the Lebanese television channel Al-Mayadeen.
“The US base in the Omar oilfield in northeastern Deir ez-Zor province was the target of several rocket attacks,” the channel said.
There is no information yet on who attacked the Syrian base of the United States.
On Friday evening, the US military launched a series of airstrikes on targets in Syria. The Pentagon explained this by the fact that the US side managed to establish a connection between these facilities and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In addition, Washington responded in this way to the Iranian drone attack on the base of the US-led international counterterrorism coalition in northeastern Syria.
