Australia scored 197 runs in the first innings on the second day of the third cricket test against India. The Indian team could only manage 108 runs in the first innings, giving Australia a crucial 88-run lead.

Usman Khawaja top-scored for Australia with 60 runs.

For India, Ravindra Jadeja took four wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took three wickets each.
